ABOUT

Hi, I’m Sadie, the founder of Tianails.

The name Tianails comes from my last name, Tian, combined with the word nails. In Chinese, “Tian” (甜) is often associated with sweetness and happiness. I hope everyone who discovers Tianails can carry a little bit of that meaning with them — a reminder to find sweetness in everyday life.

THE BEGINNING

BEHIND TIANAILS

My journey with nails actually started from insecurity.

For a long time, I was unhappy with my natural nails. I have a very small nail bed, and because of that, I never felt confident getting my nails done. During graduate school, one of my closest friends kept encouraging me to go to the nail salon with her. After turning her down several times, I finally gave in and decided to try.

To my surprise, I realized my nails weren't nearly as "imperfect" as I had always believed. As I experimented with different styles, my confidence grew. Over time, my nail beds became healthier and stronger, and nails gradually became a form of self-expression rather than something I wanted to hide.

That's when another thought came to mind.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

WHY TIANAILS

I loved changing my nail designs frequently, trying different colours, shapes, and styles. But regular salon visits were time-consuming and expensive. I started exploring press-on nails and quickly fell in love with the freedom they offered — beautiful nails that could be changed anytime, anywhere, without commitment.

What began as a personal solution soon became a passion.

Tianails was created for people who love expressing themselves through nails, whether they're trying a new look for a special occasion or simply bringing a little extra joy into an ordinary day.

I believe beauty should be flexible, fun, and accessible.

Most importantly, I hope Tianails reminds you that confidence doesn't come from having "perfect" nails. Sometimes it starts with giving yourself permission to try something new.
